Maxine Green and Charlie Hearnshaw's project is called "Blackdown voices" - a portrait in sound of life in the Blackdown Hills, using words, 'soundscapes', and new music.

They plan to interview and record people who live in the Blackdown Hills, as well as capturing soundscapes from the area that have different acoustic qualities. Editing and setting the recordings to original music to produce a 35 minute CD.

Charlie Hearnshaw and Maxine Green are musicians, composers, songwriters, and sound recording engineers. They have produced over a dozen internationally acclaimed CDs and specialise in jazz: music which includes an element of improvisation. They are also part of 'Projet Brassens', an anglo-french music and educational project inspired by the great French songwriter Georges Brassens.
