The outcomes of commissioned artists and makers, community workshops, educational work and more was shown in September 2007, full details are below.

There are three main showcases of New Eyes work were:

1.   From 1 Sept – 6 Oct  the Brewhouse Theatre and Arts Centre will be showing commissioned artists work in the main Brewhouse Gallery and the Link area.                   Brewhouse Theatre and Arts Centre, Taunton, TA1 1JL Tel 01823 274608                             Galleries open 10am – 5.30pm, Mon-Sat. 2.   From 25 Aug – 29 Sept New Eyes artists will be showcasing work alongside Devon  Artworks at the Thelma Hulbert  Gallery in Honiton.                                                                     Thelma Hulbert Gallery, Honiton, EX14 8LZ Tel 01404 45006                                                  Gallery open 10am-4pm, Wed-Sat. 3.   The central New Eyes showcase of work will run from 6-29 Sept at The Barn Gallery in Bishopswood.                                                                                                                                   The Barn Gallery, Littlefields, Bishopswood, Nr Chard, TA20 3RS Tel 01460 234236      Gallery open 11am-5.30pm, Thurs-Sun. 4.   1-2 Sept and 8-9 Sept Andre Wallace – large scale sculptural drawings.                Former All Saints Church, Curland, Nr Staple Fitzpaine, TA3 5SG                                           Open 11am-4pm Access: Poor, gravel paths and steps.

 5.   1-2 Sept  Guided by Satellites - Neroche Digital Art & Interpretation Project.                     The Neroche Interpretation team lead a GPS guided walk around Thurlbear Wood.              Bring suitable clothing and footwear. 10:00 - 13:00 at the Farmers Inn, West Hatch.              To book contact the Neroche Office: 01823 680846. 6.   7 Sept  Somerset Film and Video - Digital Surgery Day. Want to learn more about          websites, digital photography, film and video then book either a morning or afternoon         session with the experts. 8.   8-23 Sept  Liz Gregory: Paintings, Drawings, Sound Installation, Open Studio.       Simonsburrow House, Simonsburrow, Hemyock, EX15 3XA   Tel 01823 680351                   Open 11am-4pm Access: Fair, Step.

9.   8-22 Sept  Bronwen Gundry: Paintings, Installation, Open Studio.                                        Lower East Horner Farm, Stockland, Honiton, Devon. EX14 9EY Tel 01404 881374              Open 11am-4pm Access: Fair.   

10.   15 Sept  Simon Lee Dicker, Gordon Field: ‘Lost in the Blackdown Hills’                        Many visitors get lost in the Blackdown Hills, travelling around and around in circles. Join New Eyes Artist’s Simon Lee Dicker and Gordon Field on their latest Escape Route.            (8-10 miles) 6am start: Upottery Village Hall. The walk is FREE but numbers are limited so please book in advance. Contact Simon on 01935 864 588.

11.   16 Sept  Liz Gregory: ‘Paint the Farm Red’ Painting Workshop.                                           A group painting workshop on a local farm to produce a collaborative piece of artwork.       Opportunity to observe, paint and get messy! Old clothes essential. No previous                  experience necessary. Please bring a packed lunch. Parking available.                                   Meet at Simonsburrow House, Simonsburrow, Nr Hemyock, EX15 3XA.                                   10am-2.30pm Cost £10 Max of 10 people over the age of 15.                                                      To book phone 01823 680351 Access: Fair, farmland.

12.   17-30 Sept  Blackdown Hills Primary Schools: Spring, Summer, Autumn.                        A forest floor sculpture based on seasonal colour by five local schools.                                 Site directions from Castle Neroche car park.  Open daily. Access: Poor

13.   22 Sept  Castle Neroche: The Film - Gordon Field, Tom Harrington and Elizabeth        Rapp                                                                                                                                                          A live outdoor film showing at Castle Neroche. Also launch of the ‘New Eyes’ DVD.               Directions from Castle Neroche car park.  8pm. Access: Poor. Please bring a torch.

14.   23 Sept  Blackdown Babes film launch and exhibition.                                                         St Mary the Virgin Church, Wambrook, Near Chard.                                                                        Telephone Libby Lister 01460 64605 for info and times of other showings.                             6pm and 8.30pm. Access: Fair.

15.   29 Sept  Somerset Film and Video Community Films Showcase and launch of           Hearnshaw/Green Duo’s ‘Blackdowns Voices’ CD.                                                                      The Barn Gallery, Littlefields, Bishopswood, Nr Chard, TA20 3RS Tel 01460 234236           3pm.
